These peppers are often used to add heat to many Caribbean dishes such as jerk chicken, pork, and in hot sauces.

Scotch bonnet peppers are closely related to the habanero pepper, and they are just as hot. When scotch bonnets are mature, they are usually yellow, orange or red in colour, but they can still be picked and eaten when green. These little peppers only grow to around 2 inches and are wide and flat with smooth, shiny skin. They are a good looking pepper!

Their flavour is similar to a habanero as they are fruity and sweet, yet still very spicy.
Scotch bonnets are very easy to grow and produce high yields of peppers per plant. If you like a very hot pepper that also has a great flavour these are the peppers for you!
